Registration & Setup

Getting started with SAR Portal takes just a few minutes. This guide walks you through the registration process and initial setup.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Visit sarportal.com and click Start Free Trial or navigate to the registration section

  2. Fill in your details:

    • Company Name - Your organization’s legal name
    • Email Address - This becomes your admin account
    • Country - For billing and data residency purposes
    • Billing Frequency - Monthly or Annual (save up to 40% annually)
  3. Select your plan:

    • Basic - For small businesses just starting with GDPR
    • Starter - AI-powered redaction and document processing
    • Pro - Higher limits, RBAC, custom branding, priority support
  4. Click Start Free Trial to create your account

All plans include a 14-day free trial with full access to features. No credit card required to start.

Step 2: Activate Your Account

After registration, you’ll receive a welcome email:

  1. Check your inbox for the email from SAR Portal
  2. Click the Activate Account button
  3. You’ll be redirected to sign in with your email
  4. Complete the authentication process

If you don't see the activation email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. Add noreply@sarportal.com to your contacts.

Step 3: Complete Initial Setup

On first login, you’ll be guided through initial setup:

Step 4: Invite Team Members (Optional)

If you have colleagues who need access:

  1. Go to Users in the sidebar
  2. Click Invite User
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Select their role:
    • Admin - Full access including billing and user management
    • Case Manager - Create and manage cases, but no admin access
    • Reviewer - View cases and documents, limited editing
    • Read Only - View-only access for auditors

They’ll receive an invitation email to join your organization.

After setup, you’re ready to:

Your Public Portal URL

Every organization gets a unique public portal URL where data subjects can submit requests:

https://app.sarportal.com/public/submit/{your-tenant-id}

You can find this URL in Settings > Integrations and add it to your privacy policy or website.
